Vivitar Waterproof Camera Drops Below 100 Bucks

Waterproof digital cameras are usually pretty expensive and run anywhere run from $200 to well over $500. That was why I was shocked to see the Vivitar ViviCam 8400 8.1 MP 2.4-Inch Underwater Digital Camera marked down to only $89.99 on Amazon today.
The Vivitar is waterproof up to 10 meters underwater and shoots photos up to 8.1 megapixels with its 8x digial zoom. The Vivitar Vivicam is great if you want to take a step up from disposable waterproof cameras, but you are not ready to front the money for the $300 plus Olympus Stylus Tough 8010.
Don’t expect this camera to take professional looking shots, since you do get what you pay for when it comes to waterproof cameras. It is a nice choice, though, if you’re on a budget and want to take some underwater shots during your upcoming beach vacation. Speaking of beach vacations, there are plenty of killer deals on airfare to Hawaii right now and this bright yellow camera would match my suit.
