The 2007 TEVA Mountain Games
The 2007 Teva Mountain Games in Vail, Colorado is already in the works. For those of you who don’t know about the Teva Mountain Games; it’s pretty much a weekend long party/competition for all the extreme sports that weren’t quite extreme enough for the X-Games.
The TMG host some extreme competitions in freestyle and extreme kayaking, kayak and raft paddlecross, bouldering, speed and dyno climbing, mountain bike free ride and big air, cross country racing and the Vail Hill Climb, trail running, and the GNC Ultimate Mountain Challenge
For those of you who still think about kayaking as something you do at summer camp, you’ll be amazed at what you see in the whitewater freestyle competition. You’ll see kayakers doing thing you didn’t even know you could do in a kayak. From McNasties to Blunts, you’ll see it all. If you want to see some really outrageous kayaking, be sure to check out the Dagger Steep Creek competition.
Besides kayaking and the other sporting competitions, there are tons of retail booths and parties every night. If you’re into the outdoors at all and need something to do when you get out of school for the summer, hit up the Teva Mountain Games, you won’t be disappointed.
