Rudy Project Zyon Sailing Sunglasses
Rudy Project Zyon Sailing – Best sunglasses ever?
For a long time I was never much of a sunglass kind of guy. I certainly was never one of those guys into the old school Oakley glasses. But, sport oriented sunglasses have come a long way over the years. The Rudy Project Zyon Sailing Sunglasses are a prime example of that. There is so much technology at work in these suckers that it almost seems like an insult to call them sunglasses.
While polarized lenses are great, sometimes they offer too much protection. The Rudy Project Zyon Sailing Sunglasses have bumped their polarization down from a 100% to 96%. Just the bump of 4% does a huge number on your ability to see. By bumping down the polarization ever so little, they have increased your ability to still read electronic screens like on your phone, iPod, etc.
While the Rudy Project Zyon Sailing Sunglasses may look super sporty, they are still very feature rich. The Rudy Project Zyon Sailing Sunglasses are named so because they were designed for sailors. One such feature made for these sailors is the ability to snap on side shields to offer you complete protection from peripheral glare and wind.
The quick & dirty:
Where you can get one:
e-Rudy: $249
Why they rock:
- ultra-light Grilamid chassis
- QuickChange interchangeable lenses
- Ergo3Max fully adjustable nosepiece
- 360 adjustable temple tips in hypoallergenic Megol
Seat-of-the-pants rating: 9 out of 10
The only drawback to the Rudy Project Zyon Sailing Sunglasses is the price tag. I have lost a lot of sunglasses in my life and to lose a pair that cost over$200 might just give me a heart attack. That is of course assuming that the actual act of paying $200 for a pair of sunglasses doesn’t do it first.
