REI Quarter Dome T1 Ultralight Tent
REI Quarter Dome T1 Tent – Roomy one person backpacking tent
A good ultra light backpacking tent can be hit or miss. More times than not you either end up with a backpacking tent that is super light, but lacks room, or vice versus. Is a ultra light backpacking tent with ample room too much to ask for? I don’t think so and neither does REI. This is obvious in their REI Quarter Dome T1 Ultralight Tent. With the REI Quarter Dome T1 Ultralight Tent you end up with a backpacking tent that has plenty of room for you and your gear, it even has a decent amount of head space for a single person tent.
What I like about the REI Quarter Dome T1 Ultralight Tent is how much head space it has. I hate when single person tents don’t give you enough space to at least sit upright. Maybe its just me, but I don’t enjoy just having enough space to keep the tent walls off my face. I want something I can sit up when I have to change, stretch, or look through my pack in. The REI Quarter Dome T1 Ultralight Tent gives you plenty of room to do all of the above in and more. At its peak, the REI Quarter Dome T1 Ultralight Tent is about 37 inches tall, which is plenty of room to sit up straight in unless you are expectational tall.
Aside from being roomy, the REI Quarter Dome T1 Ultralight Tent is also extremely light weight. Just how light weight is it? How does around three pounds sound? There are a number features and materials on the REI Quarter Dome T1 Ultralight Tent that help keep it so light. One of these features is of course the tents poles. The REI Quarter Dome T1 Ultralight Tent uses DAC featherlight NSL poles to keep the weight of the tent to a minimum.

Seat-of-the-pants rating: 9 out of 10
In my honest opinion, I think the REI Quarter Dome T1 Ultralight Tent is a good competitor to other ultra light tents on the market. it may not be the lightest one in the field, but all things considered it is extremely light for all of the features and room it has to offer. So, if you are looking for a backpacking tent that is light, but still has a decent amount of room, check out the REI Quarter Dome T1 Ultralight Tent.
