Outdoor Research Rumor Hooded Women’s Fleece Jacket
Outdoor Research Rumor Hooded Women’s Fleece Jacket – light fleece for running and skiing
I have been coveting my friend’s Outdoor Research Rumor Hoodie all summer and I think it is about time I pick one up for myself. I think the Rumor would be perfect for cross-country skiing and cold weather running. Unlike the typical fleece jacket, the Rumor is built for mobility – keeps you warm without restricting movement.
A stretchy abrasion resistant nylon face resists light wind and a microfleece backing wicks moisture from your skin and holds in warmth. A snug “balaclava-style” hood wraps your head and neck warmly on cold days, and thumb loops keep your sleeves in place while you exercise.
Available in a slew of cute colors, most importantly the Outdoor Research Rumor Hoodie is as cute as can be.
The quick & dirty:
Where you can find on:
Backcountry: $119.95
Amazon: $119.95
Why they rock:
- Motion Fleece™ fabric; abrasion-resistant nylon face; soft, micro-polyester backing; stretch construction
- Close-fitting, balaclava-style hood
- Two zippered hand pockets
- Thumb loops on cuffs
- Stretch binding on hem, cuffs, and hood opening
Seat-of-the-pants rating: 9 out of 10
The Outdoor Research Rumor Hoodie is perfect for aerobic intensive activities in colder weather. The Rumor isn’t going to keep you as warm as say the Patagonia R3 Fleece Jacket, but it will hold in the warmth and protect you from light wind while you exercise. The Rumor also makes a great baselayer when worn under a shell or puffy coat.
