Mountain Khakis Women’s Alpine Utility Pants
I’ve always wanted a pair of Carharts type pants (I thought they would make me look super hardcore, which I’m not really), but I’ve never been able to find a pair that fit quite right.
When I tested out a pair of the Mountain Khakis Alpine Utility Pants, I couldn’t have been more stoked. According to Mountain Khakis, “Never has ‘mountain core’ met ‘outdoor sexy’ like our Alpine Utility Pant for women,” and I couldn’t have said it better myself.
I decided to test out the Alpine Utility Pants during an evening of climbing in Salt Lake City’s Little Cottonwood Canyon. After getting dragged up Little’s jagged sharp granite, I was seriously impressed that these pants came out unscathed. I was worried that they would be too stiff at first, but after a few high steps they moved as smooth as can be.
The Alpine Utility Pants are reinforced in all the high use areas so I am expecting these babies to last a long time. The double-ply, brushed cotton canvas is abrasion-resistant without the bulk. Plus they are cute in a rugged sort of way and you can expect a lot of attention both at the crag and at the bar – they seriously make you look hardcore, just look at that gal in the picture. Oh and they make them for men too.
Born in 2003 in the mountains of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Mountain Khakis is a pretty young company, but they’re already moving mountains – well at least redefining how to look when you’re moving them. Mountain Khakis are built to withstand the mountain lifestyle so they are built tough and are quality guaranteed. Besides the Alpine Utility Pants, they have quite the selection of cords, twills, and shorts for both men and women.
