I’m one of those people who suffers from cold hands and feet even when I’m in a comfortable and warm home, so it’s no surprise that I often have even colder hands when I’m out on the mountain. This is why having a good pair of gloves when out skiing or snowboarding is an absolute essential if I want to be warm and comfortable on the slopes.
The Mountain Hardwear (one of my favorite outdoor gear companies) Jalapeno Men’s gloves have a 3-layer construction to keep your fingers warm on even the coldest days. The 3-layer construction has a shell fabric backed by waterproof/breathable Conduit insert.
The Jalapeno gloves also have a durable water-resistant goatskin palm and fingers with water-resistant goatskin reinforcements. The back of hand part of the glove is also insulated with Thermic Micro™ to keep you warm even in wet conditions (like I sometime run into in the Oregon Cascades).
If those features weren’t enough, the Mountain Hardwear Jalapeno gloves also feature a soft brushed polyester fleece palm lining, kevlar stitching on palms, a nose wipe patch on thumb, an articulated cut for an easy grip, removable wrist leash, and simple cinch one-handed gauntlet closure.
