Lewis N. Clark Laundry Soap Kit

Lewis N. Clark Laundry Soap Kit – Well worth the price.

Getting laundry done in some destinations is either impossible to find or non-exsistant. For those reasons its always a good idea to carry some small packets of laundry soap. During my last excursion to Central America, I decided to test out the Lewis N. Clark Laundry Soap Kit which I purchased from REI for $5.

The Lewis N. Clark Laundry Soap Kit contains eight single use packets of Woolight laundry soap and a sink stopper. The small packets are nice because they take up little room and can usually make it past security check points with out being noticed as a liquid. If forced to be placed in your carry on ziplock bag, they are small enough to be added at no real hassle.

Im not really sure how many clothes can be washed by a single packet of the laundry soap. At the most, I cleaned a bathing suit, t-shirt, and two button up shirts. I then let my sandals soak in the soapy mixture overnight. I probably could have cleaned more clothes, but I didn’t have any more that needed to be cleaned.

The quick & dirty:

Where you can get one:
REI: $5

Why they rock:

  • Kit includes eight single-use packets of gentle Woolite liquid soap
  • Includes sink stopper that fits most sinks

Seat-of-the-pants rating: 8 out of 10

For what it is, I was impressed as much as you can be by laundry soap. The Lewis N. Clark Laundry Soap Kit was nothing exceptional and it didnt leave my clothes feeling or smelling fresh. What it did do was help keep the travel funk at bay for a few more days until I could find a real laundry service.
