KOR ONE Hydration Vessel - Most expensive water bottle ever made?

There has been a lot of hype about the KOR ONE Hydration Vessel (thats a fancy name for “water bottle”) since it came out. If you ask me, that’s all the KOR ONE Hydration Vessel really has to offer is hype. They market the KOR ONE Hydration Vessel by informing you how much you can save the planet by buying a water bottle instead of using throw away ones. Ok, I get that, but why do I need a $30 water bottle?

It seems to me that the company has to charge so much for such a basic water bottle because they spent so much to market the damn thing. The only real feature that sets the KOR ONE Hydration Vessel apart from say, a Nalgiene, is its ability to let you ad motivational saying and pictures under the lid…woopty freakin do! Because thats what I look for in a water bottle, motivation.

In defense of the KOR ONE Hydration Vessel, it did get chose by National Geographic Adventure magazine as a 2009 gear winner. I guess that says something about the people who read/write that magazine. The more upscale traveler will pay more for a overpriced water bottle simply because they can.

The quick & dirty:

Where you can get one:
Amazon.com: $30

Why they say it rocks:

Seat-of-the-pants rating: 2 out of 10

You know, the KOR ONE Hydration Vessel is probably a great water bottle and the company does its part to try and be eco friendly and give back to the environment. This is the only reason I gave the product a rating of 2 and not zero. But, I will never know how great it is to have a motivating water bottle because I will never spend $30 on one.
