Since the Jade Harmony Professional Yoga Mat is made from natural rubber, it costs much more than the traditional PVC coated mats. It is quite ironic then that most yoga mats are made with PVC since PVC is a known carcinogen and it is very difficult to recycle. People like mats with PVC because they are sticky, but mats made from open-celled natural rubber can be just as sticky.
