Holiday Travel: What won’t fly
The items confiscated from departing passengers on a recent morning at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport included the usual sharp objects: pocket knives, scissors and letter openers.
Also seized from carry-on bags were socket wrench sets, a mountain climbing tool, a vegetable chopper and a corkscrew.
Passengers arriving from overseas tried to bring in counterfeit Louis Vuitton handbags, cans of reindeer pâté and bootlegged DVDs of “Son of the Mask” and “Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.”
