Don’t let the picture full you. The Granite Gear Meridian Vapor Pack isn’t your standard multi day backpack. While it has all the features youc ould want from a quality hiking backpack, the one thing it doesn’t have is weight. Tipping the scales at around three pounds, the Granite Gear Meridian Vapor Pack is a super light pack that also offer all teh room you could need on any length trip.
One of my favorite features of the Granite Gear Meridian Vapor Pack is its lid. The pack dosen’t use your standard stuff sack type lid. Instead, the Granite Gear Meridian Vapor Pack uses a floating lid that makes it extra easy pack. The floating lid also removes to create a waste pack for excursion hikes. Don’t worry about water seeping in through the zipper. The lid features a tough waterproof zipper.
Because you never know where you next hike will take you and what gear you will need to bring, the Granite Gear Meridian Vapor Pack offers up a variety of places stow, stash, and lash gear. On the outside of the pack you will find things like ice axe loops, lash straps, and compression straps. Inside of the Granite Gear Meridian Vapor Pack you will even find some compression straps to help secure unruly pack contents.
