Fuji FinePix A700 Released

Fuji yesterday announced a new addition to their A-series product line of entry level digital cameras which will be available in stores in October. For a relatively low price of $199, the FinePix A700 features a 7.3 Megapixel Super CCD sensor, a 2.4″ LCD screen and a 3x optical zoom.

What makes this a great travel camera is the fact that it runs on AA batteries. I know that’s kind of a pain around home (use rechargables, it’s the enviro-friendly thing to do) but when you’re out backpacking around some foreign land, like Bali and don’t want to carry around a charger and a power plug adapter all you have to do is stop by the local mom & pop store to pick up some more juice.
