Eagle’s Nest Outfitters DoubleNest Travel Hammock
Eagle’s Nest Outfitters DoubleNest Hammock – easy to set up 2-person travel hammock
The Eagle’s Nest Outfitters DoubleNest Hammock is by far the easiest hammock I’ve set up. I’ve tested out several different travel hammocks in the last few months, and the Double Nest is a breeze to hang due to the tree-friendly SlapStrap Pro Hammock Suspension System. You just slap the straps around a tree, attach the carabiners at the desired length, and you are good to chill.
Super cush for one, the DoubleNest can fit two people or more snugly. Although it is not as huge as the Hammock Bliss Triple, you can still pack in the peeps as long as you don’t exceed 400 pounds. Made from high-strength, breathable woven nylon with triple interlocking stitching, the Doublenest stands up to a fair deal of use and abuse.
The DoubleNest packs down to smaller than the size of a Nalgene water bottle and weighs in at around a pound and a half so you can easily stash it in your pack for your next camping trip, a day at the beach, or your trip round the world. The stuff sack is built in so you can’t lose it.
Eagles Nest Outfitters also has all sorts of fun accessories for their hammocks like a rainfly, possum pocket, and an underbelly gear sling. I highly recommend getting the SlapStraps. If you don’t go with the straps you will need to come up with your own rope or webbing to set up the hammock as well as some knot tying skills, which I have none.

I am overly stoked on travel hammocks at the moment. The DoubleNest is just so easy to set up and so comfy that I can’t imagine traveling without it. This baby has a permanent spot in my climbing pack and it is a total friend maker. When I set it up at the climbing crag, people are just drawn to me and there is always someone in it, which is kind of a bummer when I want to take a nap. Oh and did I mention that the DoubleNest comes in all sort of fun colors? Well it does and choosing the color is the hardest part.
