CompAmerica SL2 6220 Snow Leopard Notebook PC
CompAmerica’s Snow Leopard laptop is actually pretty cool, despite the dorky name – and the fact that it’s white. Designed for travelers with small and ultra-light as the main selling point, this little 12-incher packs a decent amount of bang for the buck at $1399. For comparison, I paid over 2g’s for my Sony. But I’ve got the benefit of built-in non-upgradable EDGE cellular service. Yippee.
It hits hardest at its competitors with up to a 120gb hard drive, internal dual-layer DVD RW, built in 4-in-1 memory card reader, and built in fingerprint reader. Wanna know about the rest of the specs? Click here
With all the good features, comes some bad. The LCD is only 1024 x 786, which is way too low resolution in my mind. No word on battery life or performance at this time, but with a Celeron ULV, expect good life, and compromised performance. That’s just the world you enter with ultra-portables. But once going there, it’s hard to turn back to that 6lb beast.
