Brunton Flex Canister Stove
Brunton Flex Canister Stove – ultra-light canister backpacking stove
The Brunton Flex Canister Stove is tiny, incredibly light, and sturdy. A great backpacking stove for ultralight enthusiasts, the Flex (without fuel canister) weighs in at only 3.4 oz.
An oversized burner ensures even heat distribution and the stove’s precise simmer control keeps you from burning your food. The pot supports are uniquely positioned in a curved design so the stove can accommodate extra large pots and pans. These sturdy pot supports then fold compactly for easy storage and the burner head collapses for ultimate portability.
According to the manufacturer, the Flex stove can boil a liter of water in around 3 minutes but reviewers have had a hard time replicating this feat but still say that the stove is wicked fast. It doesn’t come with a windscreen so you will either need to make your own with a pile of rocks or purchase one separately. The stove runs off the standard butane/propane canisters.
